Walk

Wednesday

Today I walked a section of the local Bike n Hike trail followed up by a few basic exercises.
A walked a total of 6 miles, 12-15 minute miles.

After my walk, I did a few basic exercises as fast as I could to really get the heart going. The following took me about 10 minutes:
10 jump squats,
100 jumping jacks,
7 minutes of arm circles, and
10 flights of stairs.

Red Light! Green Light!

A game of Red light - Green light anyone?

Anyone?

How about if I add a fun twist to the game? Like, food groups!

Green light equals good for you foods so (RUN) and Red light equals do NOT or strongly avoid eating (STOP)!

Hold up a banana, RUN!!

Hold up an apple, RUN!!

Hold up a non-juice labeled juice drink, and you should STOP!
Stay away from beverages that are just added colorings, sugar and water.

What about a cookie? Well that's when the yellow light comes into play. Yellow is the new pink almost red in this game and symbolizes CAUTION! So, WALK!

If the cookie is a prepackaged cookie made with hydrogenated oils, and/or high fructose corn syrup, then NO, do not eat it! Are you scratching your head wondering how you would know if your cookie contained one or both ingredient? You would have READ the label!!
